Cactus - something we don't see much of on the East Coast :)I rose early this am (5:30 PDT) and headed out to Lake Casitas here in the Ojai Valley for a run. Luckily I didn't have to pay the $15 per car fee by parking outside the park and walking in. From what the park service guys told me, I did a "5L" which is my new name for 4 miles.
5K is 3.2 Miles and 5M is 5 Miles, so right in the middle (alphabetically that is) is "L" which I think should stand for a 4 mile run! It was 53 degrees out and a bit chilly, but I had a wonderful run around portions of the lake and got in some hill training. Took some shots along the way of pretty flowers and lake vistas that I will have for years to come.
Late flight this evening back to reality and Chicago.
